A Lovely Regency Style Mahogany Basket Tray Cheese Cradle

A lovely quality Regency style mahogany cheese cradle or handled tray, set with metal bindings. The tray is made from mahogany, which has a great rich colour. The tray is formed with it having the central handle which has shaped supports. The handle is a circular handle. The rim of the basket is shaped down. Either end has a low flat side. Inside the basket it has a central divide giving the two compartments inside. On either side of the base it has a metal L shaped bracket. The tray of basket has many uses and date to the C20th but after a C1820s original.
