A Small C19th Turned & Ebonized Bentwood Canework Childs Chair

A small C19th Bentwood child’s chair, with ebonized and plain cane work designs on it. The chair is formed with it being made from bamboo, which has two colours some plain and others ebonized. The back of the chair is kind of balloon back, with a smaller balloon back inside the other one. On the smaller one it has a black canework bead around it. The seat base has concentric rings of black and plain cane work rings around it. To the centre it has a flower work design on it. The base of the chair has bamboo legs again with black cane work bead down it. There is a support ring around the legs. There is a paper label on the base of the chair. The chair dates to around 1880-1900.

Condition
The condition of chair is excellent, it is missing some of the black beading on the back and legs and it has had some old woodworm on the bottom of the base which is dead but has been treated again.
