A Large Impressive C19th Venetian Gilt & Painted Wall Mirror Pier Mirror

A large and impressive C19th Venetian Gilt and painted framed wall mirror or pier mirror. The mirror is formed with is being oval in shape. The frame of the mirror has a decorative gilt shell and foliage moulding to the top. Around the edge it has a bead work moulding and then a trailing band of berries and leaves moulded onto it. To the bottom it has a small shelf and then ornate moulded wreaths and swags. And then a real ornate moulded design of swirls etc. The frame of the mirror is Gilt and then painted in green. The mirror itself is the original and has wear and character on it. The mirror dates to around 1870.

Condition
The condition of the mirror is excellent, with light ware patches and small loses on the frame but very very hard to tell. The mirror glass is worn but looks great. Overall ready to be fitted and used.
