Description
An Early Victorian Mahogany Centre Pedestal Circular Tilt Top Dining or Loo Table
An Early Victorian Mahogany circular tilt top dining or loo table, with hexagonal centre pedestal and scrolling feet. The loo table is made from mahogany, which has a good colour and grain patination. The table is formed with the top being circular with an angled edge. The top can be fastened down or unclipped and lifted vertical to store easier if needed. The base of the table has a hexagonal baluster column raised over a circular angled tier, which veneered with book matched flame mahogany. The base is then raised on three scrolling carved feet. The table would easily sit four to six people. The table dates to around 1860.
Size
Height 28.5”
Width Table Top 47.5”
Condition
The condition of the table is very good, there is the odd light scratch and scuff. The top has been repolished at some point so is good clean looking but slightly lighter than the base. There is an odd veneer chip on the base and light crack on the veneer on the base but overall a great solid useable table.
