A C20th Ornate Chabby Chic Painted Gilt Framed Oval Overmantle Wall Mirror

A very ornate and decorative C20th carved and pierced framed overmantle or wall mirror, which has had its frame painted. The mirror is formed with it being Oval. The frame on the mirror is pierced and carved with shells, scrolls and swirl designs. The frame would have been gilt originally but has been painted and worn in light purple and white and has the distressed look to it and you can still see the gilt in some places. The mirror can be hung either horizontal or vertical. The mirror dates to the mid C20th.

Condition
The condition of the mirror is very good, it has a couple of cracks in the frame but this adds to the look. It’s has a new back panel added, overall ready to be hung and used.
