An C18th Oak Derbyshire Hall Chair Turned Supports

An C18th oak Derbyshire hall chair, with a double camel back top and raised on turned supports. The chair is formed with it being made from oak which from the age has now got a great colour and grain patination. The back of the chair has the square side supports and then a central bar. The top of the back has a double camel back effect to it. The chair has been reupholstered in the traditional style, with a lightly patterned material with studded edge. The base of the chair has turned front legs and straight square back legs. It has strengthening stretchers between the legs. The chair is made from pegged construction. It dates to around 1750-1770.

The condition of the chair is very good, with a couple of light age splits, and marks and a slither of wood missing. The chair is ready to be placed and used.
