An Art Nouveau Carved and Inlaid Armchair Freshly Reupholstered in a Stylised Velvet

A great Art Nouveau carved and inlaid mahogany armchair, which has been freshly reupholstered in a stylised velvet material. The chair is made from mahogany which is inlaid with stringing down the front legs and across the front. The chairs is formed with long thin open arms, which are supported on shaped supports to the front. On either side half way down the arm, there is a carved Art Nouveau design, this has a stylised flower head to the top and tapers down to the cross stretcher on the base. The chair is formed with the chair back having a scrolling top edge. The whole chair has recently been re padded and then upholstered in a stylised velvet material, this is done in yellow and bronze cube designs. Around the edges it has a studded finish. The whole chair is raised on tapering front legs and angled back legs all with casters. The whole chair dates to around 1900.

Condition
The condition of the chair is excellent, with light scuffs and marks to the wooden areas. The material is excellent. Ready to placed and used.
