A Vintage Industrial Cast Iron Based Side Table or Desk with Solid Oak Top

A Vintage or retro industrial cast iron based side table or desk, with solid oak top. The desk or side table is formed with the base being made from cast iron. The base is painted job in a matt black possibly the original colour. The base was originally the base for an industrial machine that has been altered to be used as a side table. The base has rounded shaped side supports with loop decorations. There is a circular base support bar. To the top of the desk or side table it has had a thick solid oak top fitted. The top has a great colour and has had a waxed finish added. The base of the table probably dates to the 1940-50s and the top is a recent addition to make it so it can be used as a desk or side table.

Condition
The condition of the desk or side table is excellent, with light marks to the base, odd paint splat but in keeping with the age and use the base has had. The top is excellent, with it all being ready to be used as a desk or side table.
