A Victorian Turned Ash Leather Studded Office Open Arm Chair
An unusual Victorian carved and turned ash open arm office chair, with leather studded seat. The chair is made from ash which has a good colour and grain patination. The chair is formed with it being of a large size. The chair back has 11 small turned tapering spindles to the back with larger turned columns to either side supporting it. There are matching Turned spindles under the arms aswell. The arms on the chair are shaped. The seat base on the chair is padded and upholstered with a brown leather cover, which has a studded edge. The whole chair is raised on turned supports, with various turned supports between the legs of the chair. The chair dates to around 1880-1900.

The condition of the chair is excellent, the back and legs have various age related ware marks but we like this as it adds character. See Images. Overall a great looking arm chair ready to be used.
