A Victorian Carved Walnut Single Door Mirror Fronted Wardrobe
A Victorian carved and panelled walnut single door mirror fronted wardrobe. The wardrobe is made from walnut, which has a good rich colour and grain patination. The wardrobe is formed with it having a full length door, which is set with a 3/4 length rectangular bevel edged dressing mirror, and a small plain wooden panel to the bottom. Either side of the central door it is set with a heavily carved panel to the top and a larger plain panel to the bottom. Opening the wardrobe door it is set with fitted top shelf, and then clothes rails and hooks below. The top of the wardrobe has a moulded cornice and to the bottom is has a moulded caddy plinth. The wardrobe dates to around 1890-1900. The wardrobe is a solid one piece so doesn’t split for moving.
