A Victorian Carved Walnut Piano Stool with Under Seat Storage Raised on Turned Supports

A Victorian carved walnut piano stool with under seat storage and raised on slender turned supports with tartan wool upholstery. The piano stool is made from walnut, which has a dark colour. The piano stool is formed with there being a scrolling open arm supports or handles with carved decoration and turned handles. The seat on the piano stool is padded and upholstered in a blue, green and red tartan wool upholstery. Around the edge of the stool it has a studded edge. The seat lifts up to reveal an under seat storage area. The under side of the seat is covered in the same material. The piano stool is raised on slender turned supports. The piano stool dates to around 1890, box t the upholstery has been done at a later date.

Condition
The condition of the piano stool is excellent, with light scuffs and marks. The upholstery is good, there is a stepped feel to the padding. Overall ready to be used.
