A Small Victorian Painted Pine Square Formed Footstool

A small Victorian painted pine footstool, with square formed top and having a waxed finish. The stool is made from pine, which has been painted a long time ago in a black paint, which has now worn in places. The seat of the stool is just off square, with worn and rounded edges. The stool is raised on four square legs, which are taped out slightly. Between the legs there are supports strengthening the stool. The stool probably dates to around 1890.

Condition
The condition of the stool is excellent, with a couple of old paint marks, light scuffs marks and wear to the black paint. It has had a coat of clear wax added recently.
