A Small Panelled Oak Blanket Box Storage Trunk

A small panelled oak blanket box or storage trunk, which has a great rich colour and good grain patination. The blanket box is formed with it being made from oak, which has a great rich colour with good grain patination to it. The box is formed with it being of smaller than usual size. To the front of the box it is set with three raised rectangular panels. To the sides of the blanket box it also has panelled sizes. The top of the blanket box has rounded edges. It has a pair of ornate exposed gilt hinges to the top back edge. Opening the box it is plain empty storage area. The whole box is raised on rectangular legs. The box dates to around 1950-60.
