A Single Vintage Art Deco C1930s Cinema Theatre Seat or Chair Red Velvet REF19

A single vintage or retro Art Deco circa 1930s cinema or theatre seat or chair, which is upholstered in its original red velvet material. The seat is formed with the back being curved, having a wooden top rail. The seat back is then padded and upholstered in the red velvet material. The back of the seat is wooden and which is painted black. The seat base folds down and is again deeply padded and upholstered in the same red velvet material. The bottom of the seat is covered in a stained and polished wooden panel. The arm sections of the seat are made from cast iron, which give it a good weight. They have been re sprayed in gold. To the tops of the arms there are polished and shaped wooden arm rests. The chair will freestand, but can be easily added to a mount or plinth. The chair dates to around 1930 and was removed from a cinema in Scarborough. The chair would be ideal for a hallway, feature, cafe seating, hotel seating or interior design setting.

Condition
The condition of the seat is excellent, with light scuffs and marks to the wooden areas, the material is very good may have a light mark as original to the seat, nothing major. Overall a very comfy seat ready to be placed and used.
