Description

A Rustic Vintage Pine Folding Trestle Table, Excellent Patina Dining Table Railway Military Originally

A well sized vintage rustic waxed pine folding trestle dining table, with excellent patina originally used on a railway during the war. The table is made from pine, which has a great colour and grain patination. The table has been finished with coats of clear wax and buffed to shine but still show all it’s years of character. The table is formed with it being of large size and would sit 4-6 people. The top of the table is made from 5 pine planks, which has various age related marks. The outer two planks are rounded edges this is from years of use. The legs fold down and are supported with folding wooden supports. Each leg frame has a waxed finish. The legs can fold flat in and are held back in place with a metal pin. The tables dates to 1944 as they have a military insignia stamped into the wood underneath, there is also an original paper label attached for Great Western Railway West Ruislip but have been used in a church for years. We have recently had these waxed to add a shine and show the patina off. The trestle table would be ideal as a dining table or prep table. We do have 2 of these in total all the same.
