A Row of Three Vintage Retro C1930s Cinema Theatre Seats Chairs with Aisle End Panel
A row of three vintage or retro circa 1930s cinema or theatre seats or chairs, set with decorative aisle end panel to one side and upholstered in a red velvet. The seats are formed with the backs being angled and set with a polished mahogany top rail. The backs are then deeply padded and upholstered in a red velvet material. The backs the have a twisted rip design down them in two places. The backs of the seats are polished wood. The seat bases fold down and again are deeply padded and upholstered in the same velvet material. To the tops of each seat there is a fitted seat number, these are 10,11,12. To the bottoms of the seats they are covered in a hardboard. The seats are supported on cast iron arms, these have been painted gold at some point which is now a worn colour. To the right hand side as you look at the seats there is an aisle end panel this is an Art Deco example and has a motif to the centre. To the tops of the arms they have an upholstered top with a polished wooden front section. The chairs freestands but can be mounted to the floor or to runners. The chairs date to around 1930, and were removed from a theatre near Glasgow. The chairs would be ideal in a café, barbers or hairdressers, as waiting room seating, café, home cinema or even just at home as a comfy feature.

Condition
The condition of the seats are excellent, with light scuffs and marks to the wooden areas and bottoms of seats. The material has light ware some places a little heavier than others all adding to the character. Overall ready to be used for years to come.
