A Row of Three Vintage Retro Art Deco C1930s Cinema Theatre Seats or Chairs with Aisle End Panels REF8

A row of three vintage retro Art Deco circa 1930 cinema or theatre seats set with decorative aisle end panels. The chairs are formed with the backs are angled and have a polished mahogany top rail. The seats are upholstered and padded in a stylish wool material, which is coloured in blacks, greens, yellow and fawns. The backs of the seats are wooden. The seat base folds down and again is deeply padded and upholstered in the same wool material. The bottom of the seats are covered in a board. The arms on the chairs are made from cast iron which has been painted gold which is now worn and has a good look to it. To the tops of the arms they are fitted with a shaped and polished wooden arm rest. On either side of the seats they have a decorative aisle end panel. These end panels have a basket of flowers on the, and the, line designs. The chairs date to around 1930 and were removed from a church near Glasgow but I was told they were from a small cinema near by originally. The chairs will split down for ease of moving. The chairs freestand fine but can be fixed to wooden runners or the floor. These would be ideal for a home cinema, café, barbers shop, hair dressers, window display, or talking point.

Condition
The condition of the chairs are excellent, with only light scuffs and marks to the wood and metalwork. Overall ready to be used for years to come.
