The bases of the seats have stained and polished wooden panels. The arms on the seats are made from cast iron, these have been sprayed grey. To either end there is a decorative aisle end panel. These are decorated with Art Deco motifs circles and lines. To the tops of the arms there is polished wood and upholstered arm rests,. The chairs date to around 1930, and were originally fitted in a small theatre in Peterborough. These have recently been reupholstered and padded. The chairs have been mounted on to wooden planks, to fit into position but could be mounted to the floor, or other base plinth.
