A Row of Three Vintage Art Deco C1930s Cinema Theatre Seats or Chairs Red Velvet

A row of three vintage or retro Art Deco circa 1930s cinema or theatre seats or chairs, which are upholstered in red velvet. The seats are formed with the backs being curved and angled. The tops of the seats have a polished wooden top rail. The seat backs are upholstered with a red velvet material, and with a twisted braid down in two places. To the backs of the seats they have polished wooden backs. The bases of the seats fold down, and are upholstered in a red velvet material. To the top edges of the seats there is seat numbers these are 7,8,9. The bases of the seats have a compressed board seat base. The arms on the seats are made from cast iron, these have been painted gold. To the tops of the arms there are shaped wooden arm rests. The chairs date to around 1930, and were originally fitted in a small theatre In Edinburgh. The chairs will freestand fine, but can always be mounted to a plinth or the floor. The chairs would be ideal for a home cinema, in a hallway, café seating, barbers shop or hairdressers or just as a feature or talking point.

Condition
The condition of the seats are very good, there is scuffs and marks to the wooden bases and backs. The material may has marks and wear due to 80 years of use, no tears though. Overall ready to be used.
