A Quality C20th Serpentine Fronted Two Drawer Leather Topped Side Table or Desk by Hunter & Smallpage Ltd

A Quality C20th mahogany serpentine fronted two drawer side table or desk, with leather inset top and raised on fluted supports by Hunter and Smallpage Ltd of York. The desk or side table is made from mahogany, which has a great bright colour and good grain patination. The desk is formed with the top being serpentine fronted and then inset with three sections of leather. The leather is a tan colour with a tooled and gilded edge. The side table is then set with two top drawers, each with crossbanded edges. Each drawer is set with loop handles and. The whole side table is then raised on turned and fluted supports which splay our at the bottom. Between each of the legs there are shaped wooden cross supports, which are slender and stylish. Each drawer is lined in oak and then has the original makers label for Hunter and Smallpage Ltd of York. The desk or side table dates to around 1970s and is of real quality.
