A Pair of Vintage Wooden Pioneer Ladders Circa 1930s with Waxed Finish
A pair of very unusual circa 1930s wooden Pioneer ladders, with cast iron central bar support and waxed finish. The seat of ladders are made from wood, which has a few old paint splashes on them. The wood has then been waxed so the steps show all there original character and charm. The ladders are formed with them having 6 steps. To the back section of the ladders there are shaped hand supports at the top. Each step has a slightly rounded front edge from years of use. There is an unusual metal frame and rod which slides up and down down opening them and can be locked in place. The hinges on the ladders are decorative and marked with Pioneer Ladders. The ladders probably dates to around 1930 and were maybe from a library.
