A Pair of Vintage Retro Circa 1930s Cinema Theatre Seats or Chairs Red Velvet Upholstery

A pair of vintage or retro circa 1930s cinema or theatre seats or chairs, which are upholstered in a red velvet material, with a twisted rope design down the backs. The chairs are formed with the backs being curved in shape and having a polished wooden top rail. The backs are then upholstered and padded in the red velvet. The backs of the seats are covered in a polished wood. The seat bases fold down and again have been upholstered in the same red velvet. This makes them very comfortable, and ready to be used straight away. To the top edge of the seats there is a fitted seat number these are 1 & 2. The bottoms of the seats are covered in a compressed board. The seats are supported on cast iron frame work, which is painted gold. The tops of the arms are set with a polished wooden armrest. The chairs date to around 1930 and were removed from a theatre in Edinburgh , these are the last pair with have. The chairs would be ideal for a home cinema, shop, hairdressers, barbers shop, tattoo parlour, coffee shop and even in a hallway for kids to put there shoes on.

Condition
The condition of the cinema seat are excellent, with light scuffs and marks to the wooden and metal areas. The material is very good, there is small wear patches due to 80 years of use, overall these are ready to be placed and used.
