A Pair of Large C20th Cast Concrete Garden Models of Recumbent Lions Well Aged

A large pair of C20th cast concrete garden models of recumbent lions, which have aged well and have a great look to them. The pair of lions are very heavy and made from a cast concrete. The lions are formed with each lion being laid down but with its head stood up proud showing off its main. The front legs are tucked underneath with just the paws showing. The whole lions are raised on a stepped plinth. Each lion has aged with lichen and moss and the concrete has dulled down due to being outside. They are hard to date but I would say these date to around 1980s.

Condition
The condition of the lions seem excellent, with no major damages or losses. There may be odd mark here and there and the lichen and moss isn’t identical as this isn’t man made. Overall a very good looking pair of garden lion statues.
