A Georgian Style Mahogany Single Drawer Lowboy or Side Table Raised on Turned Supports

A Georgian style mahogany single drawer lowboy or side table, raised on turned supports. The Lowboy is made from mahogany, which has a great colour and grain patination, also with added wear to make it aged up. The lowboy is formed with the top being rectangular and made from four planks, these have been set at slightly different heights to make look like they have warped through age. Around the edge it a stepped and rounded, again it has been made to look like it has worn more in places. To the front it has a single storage drawer and comes with two keys for the lock. The lowboy is raised on four turned supports and it has strengthening support bars, each have been aged to make look like people’s feet have been rubbing and wearing them over the years. The lowboy has been made to look like a Georgian example but this is probably only 20-30 years old.

Condition
The condition of the lowboy is excellent, with light scuffs and marks, overall ready to be placed and used. It has had fake wear to the edge of the top, false warping to the top planks, fake woodworm holes added in certain places, wear to the support bars all added to make the cabinet look a lot older than it is.
