A Large Georgian Oak & Mahogany Two over Four Graduated Chest of Drawers
A large Georgian oak and mahogany two over four graduated chest of drawers, raised on bracket feet. The chest is made from oak and mahogany, which both give a good contrast and have a good colours. The chest is formed with the top being oak, with a thick crossbanding in mahogany around the edge. It has a moulded section under the top. The chest is then set with two short top drawers raised above four full length drawers. The drawers all graduated down in size. All the drawers are made from mahogany, and have a moulded edge to them. Each drawer is set with real decorative plate handles. Each has lion masks on them. The sides of the chest are oak. The chest is raised on bracket feet, and it dates to around 1780. The chest is of a larger than normal size.

Condition
The condition of the chest is excellent, with it having light scuffs and marks all age related. The bottom brass key estuction is slightly smaller than the rest but of the same design. It has had a couple of old repairs to the edges of the drawers all done well.
