Description
An Art Nouveau Oak Single Drawer Hall or Side Table Raised on Turned Angled Supports
A great looking Art Nouveau carved oak single drawer hall or side table, raised on turned angled supports with under tier stand. The table is made from a honey coloured oak, and has lots of Art Nouveau influences. The table is formed with the top being a stylised lozenge shape with rounded edges. The table is set with a single drawer to the front with its original Art Nouveau copper drawer handle. The table is raised on turned tapering supports, which are set on an angle. The table has small stretchers between the legs. To the centre of the middle support there is a circular stand. Again a bit of a design feature instead of leaving a plain support they have added this so items or flowers could be displayed there. The table dates to around 1880-1890.
