A Single Vintage Art Deco C1930s Cinema Theatre Seat or Chair Red Velvet Seat 6

A single vintage retro Art Deco circa 1930s cinema theatre seat, upholstered in red velvet material. The chair is formed with the back being curved and having a polished mahogany top rail. To the centre of the back there is a fitted seat number this is number 6. The back is then padded and upholstered in the red velvet material. The back of the seat is polished wood. The seat base folds down and again is deeply padded and upholstered in the same material. It has a studded edge and wooden trim. The bottom of the seat is covered in a polished wooden panel. The seat is supported on cast iron arms, which are still in the original colour a worn gold colour. To the tops of each arm there is a shaped and polished wooden arm rest. The chair dates to around 1930, and were originally fitted in a small cinema in Leeds. The chair will freestand fine, but can always be mounted to a plinth or the floor. The chair would be ideal for a home cinema, in a hallway, café seating, barbers shop or hairdressers or just as a feature or talking point.

Condition
The condition of the seat is excellent, there is light scuffs and marks to the wood work. There is light ware on the material due to age and use. It is still very comfy so ready to be used.
