A Victorian Carved & Turned Walnut American Rocking Chair Freshly Reupholstered

A Victorian carved and turned walnut American rocking or nursing chair, which has been freshly reupholstered in a stylised orange and beige material, which has a modern look to it. The chairs frame is made from walnut, which has a good colour and grain patination to it. The chair is formed with the base having the springs at either side, letting the chair rock freely. The chairs base and are supported on turned columns. The chair has been recently reupholstered the traditional way. The material on the chair is mainly a vivid orange with sun ray stylised designs over a beige background. The chairs padding is firm and has been edged with a beige trim. The chair is ready for placing and using. The chair dates to around 1900.

The condition of the chair is excellent, with light scuffs and marks to the wood. The material is excellent as recently redone. Overall ready to be placed.
