A Single Vintage Art Deco C1930s Cinema Theatre Seat Reupholstered in Turquoise Velvet REF4

A single vintage or retro Art Deco circa 1930 cinema or theatre seat or chair, which has been reupholstered in crushed turquoise velvet. The seat is formed with the back being curved, and having a polished wooden top rail. The seat is then padded and upholstered in the crushed turquoise velvet material. Around the top edge and sides of the seat it has a studded edge. The back of the seat is stained and polished wood. The seat base folds down and again is deeply padded and upholstered in the same material and it has a stained and polished wooden panel fitted to the bottom. The arm section on the seat are made from cast iron, which has been resprayed in gold. To the tops of the arms, it has shaped and polished wooden arm rests. The chair will freestand, but it can be moulded easily to the floor or plinth. The chair dates to around 1930 and was originally fitted in a cinema, this has been reupholstered so don’t look like the original seat. The chair would be ideal for a home cinema, entranceway, café, hotel, interior design feature.

Condition
The condition of the seat is excellent, with light scuffs and marks to the wooden areas. The upholstery has been redone so is very good. Overall a great seat ready to be placed and used.
