A Large Victorian Carved Walnut Bookcase with Cabinet Base and Fitted with Full Canteen of Cutlery

A great sized large Victorian carved walnut bookcase with cupboard base, this then has the two drawers fully fitted with a complete canteen of silver plated A1 cutlery. The cabinet is made from walnut, which has a great colour and grain patination. The base of the cabinet has a shaped edge and reeded columns. It is then set with two drawers, each pull out and are fully fitted with a comprehensive set of silver plated cutlery. Below the drawers is a cupboard, each door is heavily carved with stylised design. Opening the doors it has a single shelf fitted. To the top it has a large bookcase or display cabinet top. This is set with two large glazed doors, inside there are four shelves, these are adjustable to various positions. To the top it has a carved and stepped cornice. The cabinet splits into two sections for ease of moving. The cabinet dates to around 1880.

Condition
The condition of the cabinet is excellent with light scuffs and marks. The two drawers of cutlery are missing a couple of pieces, but then there are extra pieces that don’t fit in there. On the left hand side of the cabinet there is an age related crack in the wood. Overall a great useful bookcase cabinet ready to be placed and used.
