An Ornate C20th Brass Adjustable Desk, Wall, Hall Lantern with Cut Glass Shade

A very ornate C20th brass mounted lamp, with tulip shaped cut glass shade and can be used as a desk lamp, hanging wall lamp, or a hanging hall lamp. The lamp is formed with the main body being made from brass which has a great patina and colour from years of not being polished. The base of the lamp is lozenge shaped and is moulded with various rococo leaves and ball designs. The lamp is supported on two tubular arms. The lamp is set with a cut glass shade of tulip shape. The lamp can be used as a desk damp, but would be better as a wall light where the light would be a able to move an a gimble. It could also be used as a decorative ceiling or hall lantern. The lamp has been fully rewired with braided wiring with a on off switch. This could easily be altered for a wall or hall lantern. The lamp dates to mid C20th.

Condition
The condition of the lamp is excellent, with original patina and ware. When the lamp is used as a desk damp the shade just catches the base so won’t swing freely through.
