An Exquisite Victorian Heart Shaped Firescreen with Rare Stained & Leaded Glass Panel Painted God

An exquisite Victorian heart shaped firescreen with Painted, stained and leaded glass Panel in the manner of Heaton, Butler and Bayne. The firescreen is a top quality item and is very stylish. The firescreen has Art Nouveau influences and is of top quality. The firescreen is heart shaped and is inset with a coloured and leaded glass panel. The outsides of the panel are coloured in oranges, yellows, reds and clear but all have a frosted effect to them. To the centre there is a very rare hand painted panel in the manner of Heaton, Butler and Bayne which depicts the god of December. The panel is supported in a brass frame which has ornate scrolling handle and base supports and stylised lion paw feet. The firescreen dates to around 1880. This is a great looking piece and would look great in a modern or old home.

Condition
The condition of the firescreen is excellent, with no damage to any glass panel. The brass frame hasn’t been polished in a long time so has great patina to it.
