An Early C20th Chinese Carved Hardwood Plant Stand

An early C20th Chinese carved hardwood, plant or jardiniere stand. The stand is made from a hardwood. The stand is formed with it having four shaped legs, with scrolling feet. Each leg is carved with a dragon head with incised decoration. Between each leg there is a carved support, again this is carved with a dragon among clouds with pierced decoration. The top of the stand is carved with Greek key designs and has a plain wood centre. The whole stand has been varnished or painted in a dark black colour. There is a small second tier at the bottom, this has a carved central decoration. The stand dates to around 1930-50.

Condition
The condition of the stand is very good, with light scuffs and marks, one of the edge but of trim has been re glued at some point. Overall a great looking stand.
