An Early C20th Ash Slat Back Office Arm Chair raised on Square Tapering Supports
An early C20th ash slat back office arm chair, raised on square tapering supports. The chair is made from ash and has a great colour and grain patination and it lovely wear patches to the arm rests from years of use. The chair is formed with the back being dome topped with a curving back rest. The back rest curved round to the arm rests which have curved and shaped supports. The back of the chair is set with eight slat back rests. The seat of the chair is shaped and moulded. The whole chair is raised on tapering square supports to the front and angled back legs. Between the legs there is shaped supports and cross stretchers. The chair has a metal plate on the back which reads A1789. The chair dates to around 1940.

Condition
The condition of the chair is excellent, with light scuffs and marks. There is original wear to the arm rests and part of the seat. There is a small wax filled mark on the back rest and similar on the back of the chair nothing major.
