An Antique Rustic Farmhouse Pine Double Wardrobe Raised on Bun Feet

An antique rustic farmhouse pine two door double wardrobe, with fitted interior and raised on bun feet. The wardrobe is made from pine, which has a light colour and has a waxed finish. The wardrobe is made from mainly antique pine parts but then has been altered and had some newer parts, making it into the double wardrobe. The wardrobe is formed with it having two large full length doors each panelled. Down either side of the wardrobe it has a reeded section. To the base of the wardrobe it is set with a dummy drawer front. Opening the wardrobe it is fitted with a top storage shelf. Below this there is an iron clothes bar, giving plenty of space for having clothes and longer items as the wardrobe section goes right to the bottom behind the dummy drawer. The wardrobe has a stepped and moulded cornice and is raised on turned bun feet. The wardrobe is set with its original handles to toe dummy drawer and then lock and key to the doors. The whole wardrobe is a single piece for moving. The wardrobe dates to around 1890-1910 and is probably French originally but has been slightly altered at some point to make the drawer false. We have added a couple of coats of clear wax to protect it and add a little shine to the wood.

Condition
The condition of the wardrobe is very good, all working fine, it has been altered so there is no drawer in the base. Overall a great wardrobe ready to be placed and used.
