An Antique Carved Walnut Open Armchair Upholstered in Blue Velvet
An antique carved walnut open armchair, raised on long slender cabriole supports and upholstered in a light blue/grey velvet. The chair is made from walnut which has a good colour and grain patination. The chair is formed with it having the back rest fully padded and upholstered in the light blue/grey velvet material. Coming off of the back it has open arms, which are upholstered half way along. To the fronts of the arms they have carved a rolling ends and shaped supports underneath. The seat base is serpentine fronted and is again padded and upholstered in the same blue/grey velvet. Around the arms and edges of the chair it has a studded edge. The chair is raised on well carved long slender cabriole supports and the back legs are shaped and angled. The chair dates to around 1900-1910.

Condition
The condition of the chair is excellent, with light scuffs to the wood and the material has light marks but no tears or repairs. Overall ready to be placed and used.
