A Victorian Style Carved Mahogany Trumpet Sewing Box Raised on Tripod Base

A Victorian style carved mahogany trumpet sewing box with fitted interior and raised on tripod base. The Sewing Box is made from mahogany, which has a rich colour and grain patination. The sewing box is formed with it having an octagonal top, with stepped and rounded edge. The lid lifts up and reveals the fitted interior. The interior is fitted with various small sectioned compartments, some with lids and then a large octagonal lidded compartment to the centre. The sewing box is raised on a carved tripod base with shell moulded cabriole legs. The sewing box is copying a Victorian example but this is only 20-30 years old.

Condition
The condition of the sewing box is excellent, with light scuffs, marks and couple of small dents to the wood. Overall a good sewing storage box ready to be placed and used.
