A Victorian Bobbin Turned Gypsy or Witches Three Legged Table

A good quality Victorian bobbin turned gypsy or witches tripod table, with the top covered in a deep purple velvet and with studded edge rim. The table is made from ash, which has a light colour to the wood. The table is then formed with the top being octagonal. The top has been upholstered in a purple velvet, which has a nice rich colour. Then around the edge of the table it has been studded. The base of the table is done with three bobbin turned legs angling into a central turned ball, then coming back out is three more legs angling back towards the ground. These tables are known as either gypsy tables or some times witches tables. The table dates to around 1880, but has has the top has been recovered. A great looking side or hall table, which has that different look to it.
