Description
A Small Victorian Painted and Waxed Pine Stool or Kitchen Step with Under Lid Storage Area
A small Victorian cream painted and waxed pine stool, or kitchen step, with lift up lid and storage area inside. The stool is made from pine, which has been painted in a cream colour, which is now marked and scuffed and has an aged appearance to it. The stool has then had a coat of clear wax added to protect and add a little shine to it. The stool is formed with it having a rectangular top with rounded edges. The top lifts up and reveals a small storage area. The stool is raised on splayed supports with n shaped cut out on each leg. The stool dates to around 1890-1900, and is ideal for a farmhouse kitchen as a step to help reach high cupboards.
