A Single Vintage Art Deco C1930s Cinema Theatre Seat Reupholstered in Mottled Blue REF1

A single vintage or retro Art Deco circa 1930 cinema or theatre seat or chair, which has been reupholstered in a multi tone mottled blue material. The seat is formed with the back being curved. The seat is then padded and upholstered in three different shades of blue, a light, medium and dark. The upholstered has a stitched look to it. The back of the seat has a stained and polished wooden panel fitted. The seat base folds down and again is deeply padded and upholstered in the same material and has a stained and polished wooden panel fitted on the bottom. The arm section on the seat are made from cast iron, which has been resprayed in gold. To the tops of the arms, it has shaped and polished wooden arm rests. The chair dates to around 1930 and was originally fitted in a cinema in Lancashire but this has been reupholstered so doesn’t look like it originally did. The chair will freestand fine but can be easily mounted down to the floor or a plinth. The chair would be ideal for a home cinema, entranceway, café, hotel, interior design feature.

Condition
The condition of the seat is excellent, with light scuffs and marks to the wooden areas. The upholstery has been redone so is very good. The metal is great, there is a small piece missing, but this is where the next seat would add onto so causes no problem to this chair. Overall a great seat ready to be placed and used.
