A Single Vintage Art Deco C1930s Cinema Theatre Seat or Chair with Aisle End Panels REF9

A single vintage Art Deco circa 1930s cinema or theatre seat or chair upholstered in a blue leather and is set with a pair of aisle end panels. The seat is formed with the back being curved and having a polished wooden top rail. The seat back is then upholstered in a sky blue leather or leatherette. The back of the seat is polished wood. The seat base folds down and is padded and upholstered in the same sky blue leather. The bottom of the seat has a polished wooden panel fitted. The arms on the seats are made from cast iron, these are painted a darker blue. These are end panels, and set with a leatherette covered panel matching the seats. To the tops of the arms there is a shaped and polished wooden arm rest. The chair dates to around 1930, and was originally fitted in a theatre, then church in Derbyshire. The chair will freestand but can be easily mounted down to a plinth or floor just to make fully secure. The chair would be ideal for a home cinema, hallway, café, hotel entranceway, hairdressers, barbers shop, interior design feature.

Condition
The condition of the seat is excellent, with light scuffs and marks to the wood and a metal work. The leatherette is very good no tears. The seat is ready to be placed and used.
