A Set of Four Victorian Carved Rosewood Dining Chairs Raised on Cabriole Supports

A set of four mid Victorian carved rosewood dining chairs, raised on shaped cabriole supports. The chairs are made from rosewood, which has an amazing grain with the black grain lines running through it. The chairs are formed with them having a carved and shaped back rest and lower back support bar. The back is carved with various swirl designs. The chair bases are serpentine fronted and upholstered in a green material with gold designs on it, finished around the edges with a gold trim. The chairs are raised on shaped cabriole supports to the front and angled back legs. The chairs date to around 1860.

Condition
The condition of the chairs are excellent, all the joints feel solid. There may be light scuffs and marks to the wood and material. Overall a great set of chairs ready to be used.
