A Row of Three Vintage Art Deco C1930s Cinema or Theatre Chairs Seats with Aisle End Panels

A row of three vintage or retro Art Deco circa 1930 cinema, theatre seats or chairs, upholstered in a red leatherette, and set with aisle end panels. The seats are formed with the backs being curved, with a polished top rail. To the centre of the top rail there is a fitted seat number these are 22,23,24. The seat backs are then padded and upholstered in the bright red leatherette. The backs of the seats are wooden, which has been painted black. The seat bases fold down and are again padded and upholstered in the same red leatherette. The bottoms of the seats are covered in a stained and polished wooden panel. The arms on the cinema seats are made from cast iron which has been painted black. To the tops of the arm sections there is a shaped and polished wooden arm rest. To either end there is an aisle end panel, this is set with a polished wooden panel, this just finishes the seats off. The chairs date to around 1930 and were originally fitted in a cinema near London but have also been in a private boys school. The chairs freestand fine, but can be screwed down to the floor or to a wooden mount. The chairs would be ideal for use in a hallway, hairdressers, cafe seating, barbers shop, small pub, home cinema or just as a talking point.
