A Retro Industrial Cast Iron Based Side or Hall Table or Desk with Solid Oak Top

A retro or vintage industrial cast iron based side or hall table, set with thick solid oak top ideal to be used as a side or hall table or a desk. The table is formed with the base being made from cast iron, which has aged black paint on it which has worn. We have added a couple of coats of clear wax to the base to add a shine to the metal. The base is formed a rounded base, and slender sides, with a strengthening matching bar between the legs. The top of the table is set with a thick solid oak top, which has been stained and waxed to add a good colour and protect the wood. The cast iron base is marked with some model numbers. The table could be used as a desk, or as it was a side or hall table. The base of the table probably dates to around 1930-40 and the top is recently matched to it. The table is one of a very similar pair we have which are graduated in sizes.

Condition
The condition of the table is excellent, with light scuffs and marks to the metal from age. Overall ready to be placed and used.
