A Rare Vintage Art Deco C1930s Double Love Cinema Theatre Seat Red Velvet Material REF8

A rare and unusual vintage Art Deco circa 1930s-40s double cinema or love seat, upholstered in a red velvet material and set with decorative aisle end panels. The chair is formed with the back being curved. The chair is then deeply padded and upholstered in a rich red velvet material. To the back of the seat it is covered in a wooden panel, which is painted red. The seat base folds down and is again deeply padded and upholstered in the same red velvet. To the bottom of the seat it is again covered in a wooden panel painted in red. To either side of the seat it is set with a decorative aisle end panel made from cast iron. The end panel is decorated with three horizontal lines down the centre of it. The cast iron end panels and seat brackets are painted in there original gold colour. To the tops of the arms they are set with shaped and polished wooden arm rests. The chair will freestand fine but can be mounted down to a wooden plinth or the floor. The chair would be ideal for a waiting room, hairdressers, home cinema, shop setting, entranceway. The chair dates to around 1930-40, and was removed from a cinema in Lancashire.

Condition
The condition of the cinema seat is excellent, with light scuffs and marks to the material and wooden places. The wooden arm rests and angled blocks on the back have been repolished. Overall ready to be placed and used
