A Quality Waring and Gillow Bur Walnut & Walnut Two Cupboard Side Cabinet

A quality fully restored Waring and Gillow Ltd of Lancaster, Bur walnut and walnut two cupboard side cabinet or washstand. The cabinet is made from walnut and Bur walnut, which have amazing grain patinations and colour. The cabinet is formed with a walnut top, which has angled edges and a reeded sides. To the back there is a small splash back or back rest. To the back rest it has a shaped top, this is made from Bur walnut which has a great grain pattern. There is a small shaped side supports holding the back in place. To the front there are two cupboards, these are made from Bur walnut again with a great colour. Around the edge of the doors it has a carved pattern around the edge. The whole cabinet is raised on turned supports with reeded cross stretcher. The cabinet has impressed Waring and Gillow to the top of each door and there is also a small plaque on the back of each door which reads Guaranteed Designed and manufactured at our Lancaster Factory established 1695 Waring & Gillow Ltd. The cabinet dates to around 1930, and is real quality.
