A Quality Georgian Style Irish Walnut Shaped Footstool Shell Mouldings

A quality Georgian Style Early C20th Irish Walnut footstool, Set with shell mouldings to the shoulders of the legs. The stool is formed with it being made from walnut which has a good colour and grain patination. To the edge it has a shaped and moulded trim. The legs of the stool are cabriole with pad feet. To the shoulders of each leg there is a shell moulded carving. The foot stool is set with a shaped cushion with tapestry on it. The tapestry shows a farming scene with figures. The stool dates to around 1920 and is copying a C18th Irish example.

The condition of the stool is very good, the tapestry top is worn and could do with recovering but can be used as is.
