A Pair of William IV Mahogany Bar Back Dining or Hall Chairs Raised on Turned Supports
A pair of William IV mahogany bar back dining, hall or bedroom chairs raised on turned supported and with a floral tapestry seat. The pair of chairs are made from mahogany, which has a great colour and grain patination. The chair are formed with the back having the curved bar back with rounded top edge. There is a central back stretcher, which is carved with a fan motif in the centre. The chairs are set with seat pads, each are tapestry covered. Each tapestry has a bouquet of roses. Each chair is raised on turned front legs and angled back legs. The pair of chairs date to around 1840.

Condition
The condition of the pair of chairs are excellent, they have just been lightly repolished. One chair has an old repair to one of the bar backs. Overall a great pair of chairs.
