A Pair of Vintage Art Deco C1930s Cinema Theatre Seat Upholstered in Gold Velvet & Aisle End Panel REF10

A pair of vintage or retro Art Deco circa 1930 cinema or theatre seats or chairs, which are upholstered in a gold to light brown coloured velvet material and set with a decorative aisle end panel to one side. The seats are formed with the back being curved. The seats are then padded and then upholstered in the golden velvet material. The back of the seats are covered with a black painted board . The seat bases fold down and again are deeply padded and upholstered in the same golden material, and again has a black painted board on the bases. The arm sections on the seats are made from cast iron, which have been resprayed in gold. To the right hand side as you look at the seats they are fitted with a decorative aisle end panel, this is moulded with reeded lines running down it. To the tops of the arms, they have shaped and polished wooden arm rests. The chairs date to around 1930 and was originally fitted in a cinema Scotland and then a bowls club. The chairs will freestand fine but can be easily mounted down to the floor or a plinth. The chairs would be ideal for a home cinema, entranceway, café, hotel, interior design feature.

Condition
The condition of the seats are excellent, with light scuffs and marks to the wooden areas. The material is very good no holes or repairs. The metal is great, having recently been resprayed. Overall excellent commensurate to age and use ready to be placed and used.
