A Pair of Vintage Art Deco C1930s Cinema Theatre Seat Reupholstered in Blue REF13

A pair of vintage or retro Art Deco circa 1930 cinema or theatre seats or chairs, which has been reupholstered with a stylised blue seat back and then a lighter blue seat base. The seat is formed with the back being curved. The seat is then padded and then upholstered in a dark blue velvet over a cream background. The design is a stylised design. The back of the seat has a stained and polished wooden panel fitted. The seat base folds down and again is deeply padded and upholstered with a lighter blue material and has a stained and polished wooden panel fitted on the bottom. The arm sections on the seats are made from cast iron, which have been resprayed in gold. To the tops of the arms, they have shaped and polished wooden arm rests. The chairs date to around 1930 and was originally fitted in a cinema In Yorkshire but have been reupholstered so didn’t look like this originally. The chairs will freestand fine but can be easily mounted down to the floor or a plinth. The chairs would be ideal for a home cinema, entranceway, café, hotel, interior design feature.

Condition
The condition of the seats are excellent, with light scuffs and marks to the wooden areas. The material is freshly done so excellent. The metal is great, having recently been resprayed. Overall a great set of seats ready to be placed and used.
